Our Story
Rhapsody in View blossomed from a local family’s vision of inclusive and relational hospitality. The ocean-view plot of land inspired your hosts to create a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors to the beautiful Central Coast of California. Its location on Highway 1 provides convenient access to Morro Bay, Cayucos, Big Sur, Paso Robles wine country, and San Luis Obispo, while offering a quiet refuge a 5-minute drive from the busy Embarcadero. A short 10-minute walk leads to a serene beach in view of picturesque Morro Rock. Each of the unique rooms has a private balcony facing a view of the coast.
A customized experience awaits each guest. From hand-stenciled accent walls to bespoke bathroom designs, each room is crafted to welcome you with warmth and style. Your hosts have curated local, eco-friendly products in the rooms and the food service. Contactless entry facilitates convenient and safe access to rooms, and concierge services are available for all your travel needs.

Managers
Bobby & Kezia Cleath
Your hosts Bobby and Kezia Cleath run the day-to-day operations of Rhapsody in View. They were responsible for the macro-level conceptualization of the hotel, as well as the micro-level design decisions. Both aficionados and performers of musical theater, they have a passion for the theme and vision of RiV.
Owners
Tim & Allie Cleath
Tim and Allie Cleath, Bobby’s parents and Kezia’s in-laws, financed and co-developed this project with Bobby and Kezia. They have been residents of the Central Coast since 1984. Their legacy of hospitality permeates the locale, spreading the warmth of their home with professionalism and polish.
